The North Woods
Documenting the wildlife, wilderness, and adventure of the North Woods.
Minnesota & the North Woods marks the beginning of my newest chapter as a wildlife conservation photographer. After years of research in Costa Rica and the Everglades, I found myself in a very different landscape—one defined by endless lakes, towering pines, winding rivers, and a wilderness culture built around paddling, fishing, and exploration.
As my new home, Minnesota has become a place to continue growing not only as a scientist, but also as a photographer and storyteller. Whether quietly watching loons at sunrise, following coyotes across urban habitats, photographing industrious beavers, or canoeing through the Boundary Waters and Voyageurs National Park, I find endless inspiration in the wildlife and wild places of the North Woods.
This collection celebrates the landscapes, wildlife, and outdoor traditions that make Minnesota unique. More than a destination, the North Woods have become a place of exploration, reflection, and a reminder that some of the greatest adventures begin close to home.
